Howdy all...

Well, decided to take the plunge today and upgrade both my low (9006) and high (9005) beams to all Sylvania Silverstars (All 9005) today. All I can say is...WOW!! These dudes are BEEE-RRRR-IIIII-TTTT-EEEE!!! I had to angle the lights down quite a bit after the install, as they were pretty high up (can't figure out if that is attributed to the properties of the high beam bulb or what). Nice pure, bright white light...no dim blues here. Bright white light.

The total was $86.00 for all 4 bulbs, plus you get a $10.00 rebate for each pair you buy. So that cut the price down to $66.00. A couple of years back, I put PIAAs in my 3000GT, and ONE set of those cost more than that! To top it off, these are even brighter...really. If you're looking for a good cheap mod...this is the way to go. It ALMOST matches the $85.00 (installed) Magnaflow resonator I have in my car (in terms of bang for the buck)... Time to get the PIAA 510 fog lamps now...

Same bulbs I run in my car, and the only from now on! I recommend these over almost any bulb out there, except true HID... I've had them for about a year, with no problems!

They're great aren't they... So much nicer to be able to actually see at night. Although even w/ the silverstars I couldn't see jack sh|t lastnight when the snow started falling. But it was coming down so hard it didn't surprise me.
