The Contour is in the shop right now and went to check on it. The mechanic had came across a Contour lower intake with injectors. He says they are the larger ones that came on the 2000 SVT's. These injectors are green instead of the orange I believe mine are. He says he will install the green ones if I want. Is this the 24# injectors or is this mechanic talking me into some 17# ones? Thanks.

They are #19 and if you have an E0 you can't use them because of the fuel rail setup.

All SVT's have 19lb injectors.

Definitely put the larger 00 SVT LIM on, but use your old fuel rail & injectors.

BTW - the mechanic is dense if he can't even tell the difference between the 2 different style injectors! They don't even hook up the same.

However since that mechanic doesn't seem to know the difference it may not even be a 00 SVT LIM???

That's what I am thinking. I never knew they had changed different size injectors. I am going to tell him to leave that the f*** alone. Thanks guys just wanted to be 100% sure.

This mechanic is a great guy and does in fact know his job, but he can't know all cars and their specs. So I won't go calling him an idiot. I will let him know tomorrow that it wont work but the thing is he is selling me the LIM with injectors and fuel rail for only $5 and I know for a fact I can get a hell of a lot more money out of it than $5.

If the manifod truly does have the larger runners, I would want it on my car. That is a heck of a price. Check and make sure the runners are bigger and that you can indeed use it with the old injectors and fuel rail, and if so, go for it.

The 2000 used very different injectors even though they were still 19# because the 2000 used a returnless system.

If you don't want it, And it truly is a 2000 SVT lower intake, ship it to me. I'll pay for it and the shipping.
