The 2000 is not the engine you want if you're trying to keep the whole motor and do a complete 3L swap rather than the hybrid. You want a 99 or mid 98 block. $1000 is too much for the engine unless it's all ready been fully prepped then it's a helluva bargain. If you need someone to do a prepped shortblock for you PM me and I can give you a quote.

Actually a 2000 with next to no miles is about right for the full assembly. The 2000 will require the most work though as it doesn't have the WP in the right place, plus you'd have to run the 2.5 heads with the 2.5 intakes or adapt the cables and such to run the 3L heads with the 3L intakes since the heads are oval ports and won't adapt well to the 2.5 intakes without an adapter plate.

I can sell you a prepped 99 block. PM me for pricing. The heads bolt straight on so no prep work needed on those and I have those available as well. On cam would need the waterpump drive cut off. Computer and exhaust are ok as stock to begin with but some type of tuning will gain you much better yeild than just leaving it on stock items. I also offer enhanced exhaust manifolds as well.
