First of all, thank everyone here for the immense knowledge. I have a 99 contour se with 118000. Runs excellent, new tires, back brakes..what should I be replacing? I need an o2 sensor, and I want to replace pcv valve..how about the timing belt?...If all is running great,should I be replacing parts?....any and all advice is welcomed..you people are great. I have learned a lot!
cabin air filter. air filter, trans fluid, engine oil, all replaced.

fuel filter....plugs n wires

do u have a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder or the v6???


99 expedition eddie bauer, 5.4 v8, k&n drop-in, 3" magnaflow catback and gas mileage that makes the contour look like a hybrid

Just standard (i.e. manu-recommended) stuff should do. No special care and feeding required. The V6 engine is quite robust (though they run a little warm), and some trim parts inside may be a bit "weak", but otherwise, excellent little car... Smallest V6 sedan in America. :-)


Just a plain jane '96 LX V-6 here...

I'd suggest flushing your coolant and refilling it then.

Mine has never run warm. Even in hard summer driving.


2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
