ok, i am a 2.0 mtx cougar owner, and have been a NECO member for a while now. I just wanted to tell you guys about the ZXTuner ceramic coated headers that me and some dudes are going to make available for the cdw-27 platform (cougars, contours, mondeos, mystiques) Anyways, i have been talking to Rob Green of ZXTuner and he is going to spec out a cougar around the end of this month, and then these headers will be available for the cougar and contour zetec cars. Post questions, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge...

That's one of the things I think they're trying to get around. Here's the thread on NECO if you want to follow it, too.

yeah, we are sending in Whitezetec to do the dirty work... Then soon after the headers should be available to the rest of us. They are little beauties, arent they?

on the 'tour zetecs, the cat is bolted to the exhaust manifold and then a metal strap goes around the cat and bolts to the block....my questions are....(1)is there any laws governing the relocation of the cat?? unless i am wrong, the purpose of the strap and being bolted to the block is to prevent the motor from applying any unneeded torque on the exhaust manifold (causing it to break the welds, similar to the jba header)and possibly cracking the exhaust pipe. couldnt a 14 gauge piece of flat steel (chromed or powder coated) be attached so that you could bolt it to the block, thus simulating the strap and the cat being bolted to the block. i think that would be a viable solution (and keep ceg'ers from breaking the welds on the header). if i am wrong on any of this....please correct me..
