Anybody with the Fidanza please chime in, my question. When your driving does it seem like you have a little less torque under about 3500 rpms? Is is due to the weight of the flywheel? When I do press it above 4000 rpms the engine absolutely screams and revs much faster than before. I've driven a Integra Type R before and my car now reminds me of it moreso after the fidanza. It seems that the fidanza took some power from the bottom rev range and moved it to the top, is this what others have experienced?

i think your problem is that it revs so fast, u dont have time to notice it because your already changing gears....lol..  im not sure what u mean really , i have the fidanza as well and all i can say is wow. i love mine ive had it for about 3 months now. if anything i feel more power.

Under pure acceleration, I don't see how less driveline mass could equal putting less torque to the wheels. I think it may be just an illusion. Perhaps your "screaming" top end is making the low-end seem weaker.

I agree....when I had mine put in I put in a new clutch...right now im running a Sachs RCS Triple disk clutch.
Works wonders~!!!!! Your clutch could be slipping in the lower rpm range and doesn;t catch untill the higher range.
Its been known for a certtain clutches to slip off the fidanza's. Center Force clutches work well.
An other thing you have to remember is that your TQ kicks in aroung 3400 for the V6 and HP is at 4200 or 4300. You may be reving faster through your power band that you may not notice it. Remember, its always reconmended to change your clutch when you rebuild the tranny, or change flywheels. Because some clutches won't work or feel right.

The only time a lighter flywheel will show a disadvantage versus a heavier unit is starting the car from a dead stop.
All other times it will be superior performance wise.

I had a centerforce cluth installed with it, nevermind the first comment on the torque loss. When I changed from a FILTHY S&B to a AFE all the torque came back then SOME!! nevermind I was just to impatient. The filter was awful... I love it now (fidanza/centerforce) thanks everybody for chiming in... and yes by the time I'm noticing my revs I'm already past 4 grand..  Thanks Eric

Demon not to ba a naysayer but mustang and fast fords did a test and they showed the oppisite. Power increase 1,2,3 and then leveling our on top. I know you don't like the stangs but check out the mag its very interesting.

The most power a lightened flywheel will provide will be in 1st gear period! end of discussion that's why I originally posted this because I was confused with my cars reaction. It turned out to be a Filthy A$$ Dirty Rotten Filter.

I've read the article.
You seem to forget that dyno testing is done AFTER the wheels are already moving. (also it is not accelerating the car's weight only rolling the drum)
Read my post again & tell me how what I said could be construed as wrong???
A lighter flywheel has less mass (stored inertia) to get a car moving from a stop. This is simple physics. Once the car is sufficiently moving this drawback of a lighter flywheel is gone.
Dyno testing normally starts around 2500rpm. The wheels are definitely sufficiently moving by then.
