I've done the exact thing...except I stripped the F*** out of it. I took it to the shop and they told me they couldn't get the thing out and that they had to blow torch the end off of it to get it out. I wish you the best of luck and DON'T repeat my mistake smile .

You should be able to get ramps with extentions, that is what I use. They barely clear the bumper if you go slow.

Very similar to mine:

I made two of these out of three 8' 2x10's

Cut two of them at 54" for the bottom, the second level is the 42" leftovers from the 54" cut. The remaining 8' length has two 30" cuts and the remaining 36" is cut in half. Then I put a couple of 2x4" scraps at then end as stops.

I've not lowered my SVT yet, so I don't know how these would work.

I think they are more sturdy than most steel ramps.

Cost ~ $25 and one hours labor.

FWIW,

TB

Remove the bolt while hot. this will reduce the grip of the threads. For my ramps I use a short piece of 2x6 to lift the car up before it goes on the ramp. this saves the bumper.

I have the fumoto drain valve on all 5 cars I service. Never worry about stripping plugs, getting plug off again. Move the spring loaded lever and oil drains out

www.fumotovalve.com about $24.95 a one time purchase. I have one on my Mystique
