Hello any and all

I'm wondering how much I could expect to pay$$$ for the following to go in as a new replacement in my 1998 Mystique:

SVT Engine

Standard 24v Duratech

Would the SVT fit right in (Besides Exhaust)???

Any and all info would be very cool

No the SVT motor will not work with a regular V6, something about the computers being different. I remember a member w/ the screen name Simon(or something along those lines) from Las Vegas trying an SVT motor swap. Your best bet would be to go with a 3.0 swap. Hope this helps.

right...u have to swap computers as well. For that money you are definitely better off going 3L route which will give you more power and cheaper too.

Don't let these guys talk you out of it. It can be done, and has been done. Though I'd personally opt to go with a 3L. Oh yeah, someone mentioned a 3L might not work with a '95 because of the EEC-IV too.

Nah, he had electrical issues that he didn't want to debug anymore.

Has nothing to do with whether an SVT engine would work in a pre98 or not.

The engine should be a direct swap and you can actually run it just fine with your computer for starters, but I'd recommend going to a dyno shop shortly after the swap and get a chip to tune it properly.
