i have my state pistol permit now....i purchased a glock26 (9mm) which goes everywhere w/me except school of course

we went to the range last night, and i shot off 200 rounds

i learned my lesson about keeping my thumb away from the slide after bustin it open twice......

how long did it take to get the state permit. did u get a local permit first. i'm looking to do the same thing.

hmmm an excuse to get my connecticut license!
hahahaha

right now i have my MA and NH.

you get your town permit first then you have to go to either bridgeport or middletown to the DPS to pick up your state permit


the total process took 2 weeks for me, but it could take up to 8 weeks if you live in a big city

i have to look into out of state permits.
i am not sure what is required for CT or MA.
NH was easy i printed out a document from the web, filled it out and sent in a check for $20
2 weks later i had my NH license.

i just get uneasy about sending in fingerprints in order to get the license... not that I have anything to hide (hehehe), I just don't like the idea of the feds putting my prints on file, when i havent given them a reason to in the past ...

Corey you had to pass a mandatory hangun safety course right ? Was that before or after the local permit ??

package sent to me.

i have to be fingerprinted and send a photo, and have them notorized!!!

for my NH permit all i had to do was fillout a form i printed off teh web and send in $20!
