Umm, it takes a lot of work to get a Civic to be as fast as even a stock mustang GT. And while they do exist, truly fast civics are pretty few and far between, and for every one of them, there is at least 5 mustangs that will run at least a full second quicker in the 1/4 mile with ease. Not dogging on the guys w/ actually fast civics, because they have put a lot of effort into making thier own car fast, its just they really are few and far between. The "ricer" honda is way more common than the actually fast honda. Fast Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Simple bolt ons will put a 14 second mustang into the 12's. High 12's on a BONE stock cobra is even possible, and another $1500 and 3 hours, I could put a stock cobra into the 10's. If the commonality of the Mustang turns you off, fine, your choice. And as for the Mullet comments, I think you are meeting the wrong sort of Mustang owners; all of my friends w/ mustangs are very nice, good guys to hang out with, and I don't think a single one has a mullet; and I know LOTS of people w/ modified Mustangs, especially considering the business I'm in.

Ok, first off the mullet comment was just because I was pissed off I am just tired of hearing people talk crap about other peoples cars. I can undersand being enthused about your cars but that doesnt mean that every other car is bad. That is so childish... I dont like him because he drives a diffrent car than i do...Seriously grow up. That is not saying that I don't dislike some import drivers, because I will smoke one when one comes at me reving his engine at me thinking that his car is fast because it has stickers on it (what I see as a ricer). But I will not drive by somebody holding my thumbs down at them, which is what happened to me by some guy in an early 90's stang.
Secondly, Did I originaly ask about a GT mustang...NO...It was a V6. And I guess that that is who I am refering to when I was talking about people talking crap. I really dont understand why people are so caught up in this battle against imports. Lets face it our cars are the most import driven american cars. By that i mean that our car is based of the Mondaeo (a european car). So why dont we all chill out and get over it.

Dude, you don't make any sense at all. You keep changing directions, I hate this I hate that, and then No I don't hate this I don't hate that, can't we all just get along . . .
And further, you are all hung up on mustangs because one guy driving a fox body gave you a thumbs down???? Man, you need some thicker skin.

That cant we all just get along was a little joke. And no that is not the only reason that I am hung up on mustangs. It just seems that a good majority of the mustang people that I meet are think that their cars are amazing and unbeatable. Which is cool but dont go around talking crap about other peoples cars. That is all I am saying and have been saying.

My girlfriend drove a V6 stang for a little over a year and I could for sure beat her, we raced a few times just to be sure. It wasn't by much but I always did. On the import ricer thing everyone was talking about I owned a Civic Si before my svt and I still whupped v6 stangs, and I got thumbs down before and called a "poor mans BMW" ricer ect. but screw what other people with bad attitudes think, I like what I drive otherwise I wouldn't have bought the damn thing.....thank you 4 listening. my vote is for the CSVT

Thank you Burgman for proofreading my post and also for just showing how ignorant you are. And no I didn't get my head unit from circuit city. But I dont know why I am trying to defend my self aginst such an inmature closed minded person. Thank you for proving my point.
Burgman you are the kind of people that I was talking about I appoligise to everyone else that I included in my generalization about mustang owners.

Excuse me? You're calling him the ignorant one? Please, enlighten me, where did he show this "ignorance?" All I saw was a Mustang driver DEFENDING himself and his car from being berated by some pissed off bench racer. I hear all you guys when you say "just wait for the turbo" and when that time comes, I'm more than certain that there will be 'tours out there that will out run a GT such as burgs, but as for now, I've heard of only one tour dipping below 14's(correct me if I'm wrong). If you think he was serious about his posts where he said every honda was a ricer and that mustangs are Gods then you are obviously mistaken and take life way too seriously. ><>David<><

Damn that is nice how long have you been working on that? from like the age of 3? I am still wondering about the circuit city comment. Even if I did get it at circuit, which I didn't, it is not like I got it at walmart.
go here if you want to see it here
This all was never directed at Burgman untill he started in.
