OP RL Junior Member R Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 25 Fullerton Ca.	hi folks, I bought my MPV in Dec. It ha the Duratec motor in it. I've read of complaints that it doesn't have enough power and yada yada yada... I beg to differ, the MPV drives so well that you would think you're in a car. The motor is quick and very responsive. Its not a big bulk van like the Caravan or Windstar. One point I do like about it...it has a Mazda (from Japan) tranny. My 87 civic wagon recently died. I am getting a new motor installed. The motor was only $320 from K watanabe. RL

I knew that Mazda was owned by Ford, but I didn't expect the tranny to be ...argh! Oh well. How can I tell if it really is the same tranny as the tour? Where did you get your info from?
