I own a 2000 SVT Contour.I was thinking of having the gearbox fluid drained, and replacing it with Red Line MTL.Does anyone have any experience with this product? It came highly recommended from a shop that only works on european cars.Good, not good? Wrong stuff?

NO!!!!! I almost made this same mistake myself a while back. I had some left over from my '68El camino. The mtx-75 used in these cars REQUIRES an
ATF type fluid. A lot of us [myself included] drained the factory stuff out for a "synthetic ATF/friction modifier" blend. I don't recall how many ounces of the modifier to add. Try doing a search for, "the cocktail", in the general, or problems forums, it should be there someplace. wink

That's right- our cars all use ATF even if they are manuals. And from what I hear... BIG problems with this MTX75 that yall have... stick with Ford fluids as a safety measure IN MY OPINION.
