Searched quickly but didn't come up with what I was looking for.

I am looking to sell my E1 front calipers to a fellow CEG'er, but he has a pre-98 and I'm not sure that they will fit. I seem to remember someone saying they will but I'd like to know for sure before I do sell them.

TIA,

They will fit.

However they most likely require use of, at least, the E1 brackets as well.

All calipers are the same. no matter what kind of contour. It's the brackets that change the pads.

Yep, E0 calipers are quite different than the rest.

They will fit on pre-98's no problem if the brackets are used as well.

Also, 15" wheels are required, minimum. The spare will no longer work.

You can just swap the E0 caliper on to the stock 260mm rotors without any bracket required. Not realy an upgrade IMHO except for a slightly larger size brake pad, but it should work. No clearance issues with the stock wheels w/this setup.
Teamed with the SVT bracket and the larger rotors on the other hand would be a nice step up performance and then require the larger spare and 15" wheels.

The E0 calipers will not work with the smaller rotors. The brake pads hit the hubs.
