ok, i'm installing 4 guage wires and need to take it through the hole under the wiper cowl. i couldn't find a drill bit big enough to enlarge the hole i already drilled (it's an old drill and i don't have a complete bit set). so i tried to take the wipers off today and they wouldn't come off. i took the bolt off. is there a trick to this? do i just pull as hard as i can? any help with this i'd appriciate. i was just affraid to rip the damn things off.

I had to use some WD-40 on them before they'd come off. I sprayed and let it set in for a while, after which it only took a moderate amount of effort to remove the wipers.

hmmmm in my 98 tour I had a square rubber plug in my firewall about big enough to put 10 1ohm gauge wires through. I just poked a whole through that and shoved my wires through the come out like 6 inchs up and to the left of the pedals which puts them way out of the way of anything so I think I got lucky.

Do you have a manual or ATX? I'm not sure, but I think that grommet is used for the clutch on manual 'tours. Mine's a slushbox, so I was able to use that grommet you're talking about. SVT owners might not be so lucky.

I ran my 4 gauge through a hole behind the brake. Get down there and pull the carpet back, there is a hole in a great location, just needs enlarged with a drill. Make sure not to go thru to the engine back too far while drilling, but it's in a perfect spot...
