Well yet another problem with my Mistake LS. I go out today to see all this black fluid on the ground near my gas tank and it hecka smelled like gas. I started the car to move and gas was literally shooting out from underneath the gas tank somewhere. Yes I let it run to almost empty and when I filled up last night I put a little over 14 gal. in, which is the most I've ever put in. I'm thinking overflow or maybe someone cut my fuel line because there is some stuff going on with me and some other people. I hope this isn't serious because I couldn't handle yet another problem with this car due to the build and quality of this Mistake. It's at the shop tonight and they said they'de call me tomorrow. Any suggestions. Thanks

I'd suggest changing neighbourhoods, but your fuel line may not be cut. The fuel could have leaked from the top of your gas cap. Wait till you get it back and see.

Sounds like the carbon purge/vapor canisters are full & not being purged...

Got it back from the mechanic today and he said that it was leaking from where the fuel filler pipe meets the fuel tank. Now I went to alldata.com and it says there is a recall for the fuel filler neck inspection. Does that mean it's under recall and I can get it fixed, no charge. The mechanic took some gas out and it stopped leaking but it's still something that definitly needs fixing a.s.a.p.
