My speedo jumped up to approx 40 after starting in the garage the other day.. now it does not work... no odometer either.

Has anyone run into this, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

I ran a search on speedometer and speedo, got hits, but no info on this....

THX!

I have a 1995 SE and it happened to me twice. I hit the dash in the middle with the bottom of my fist and it fixed it. Mine couldn't have been the speed sensor. I figure it was a bad ground or connection in the dash.

On the way home from work last night it started working again... car ran smoother too. On way into work todayt, it stopped again, and car ran slightly rougher... weird.. Time to get out the manual & OBDII PC.....
