My A/C and heater blow out at the windshield and floor on all settings but the bi-level(floor and vent at same time) The A/C only gets cold if I'm above 3500 rpm for extended time. I thought that I had a vacum line lose from the dashor something but all the conections are good with the A/C and heater vacum hoses. The heater also blows hot even when the controls are set to "OFF". When I turn the A/C on I have hot and cold at the same time. Ford wants me to leave the car for a few days because they believe there is a major problem with the car. I don't know if it is related but anytime I get the trunk light to work it blows the fuse for inside lights and radio. I can do without the trunk light but the A/C and heater thing is bothering me. Please help!!!!

Sometimes the rod that moves the damper door falls off and then of course it won't move. Look under passenger side dash. One of the damper doors is driven by an electric motor and that can fail. The A/C might be OK.
