Allright this forum is made up of tonnes of smart people who know these contours inside and out. But no one seems to have come up with a answer to the whistling sound that some of us experience. I have a 1998.5 SVT and I started experiencing this whistling sound about 2 months ago. It is driving me crazy. It does it when you first crack the throttle open and it also does it at about 2k to 2.5k. I have listened to this sound over and over trying to find the source. I even borrowed a ultrasonic ear from work to try and find the leak. This ear is 100 times better the the normal mechanics stethascope. But still it is hard to determine the source. I did find one leak (part seen in this picture)
but I don't know if this sound could be just from this leak. The part which is leaking is below the silver part. It is a "T" with two hoses running into it and one sensor wire running out. Could I tiny leak like this one be the problem. I have trouble believing that this is it due to the fact that it is not constant but I am still new at this. Please help me....lets solve this problem once and for all.
