can anyone clarify which of these is better to use with a MAF adaptor and heat shield setup (or other K&N part #'s that are even better)?

BTW I did search first. Also I'm set on K&N, so pls don't try to convince me to buy X brand instead (sifted thru enough of that in the archives)

I'm pretty sure that I have the 3130 and it seems to be a perfect fit. If you go to my web page you can see it installed. I loved the sound when I had it on my stock exhaust set up. Maybe if you can give the dimension for everyone they can help you make a decision.

dimensions don't matter to me as long as it fits the SVT.

Ah...densnsions are nessicary to get the propper fitting K & N filter. Especial if your buying one yourself.

To get a K and N filter part number that will work with SVT, got o SP Motorsports .Com and in the contacts is a phone number.

Ask for joe. He can give you the propper K&N number.

But for here, if you don;t have a number, give us the size of the outlet you have, (some of us with SVT's don't messure or we have aftermarket ones pre fitted)
so we can find the propper. Or get the deninsions yourself and call k and n.

I ahve a k and N catalog in fornt of me if you give me the filter deminsions you need, as well as the diamater you need i can tell you the part number you need.

we're on a bulletin board speaking of the same cars, why can't someone just give the part #? I can measure if necessary, but it's windy and cold as hell right now. I am just looking for the conical open air filter for the SVT listed in my sig.

Im not trying to make things difficult on you...but yes its tru, some people know the number by heart, but majority don;t because there, well, reuseable filters...so why should we know the part cause we won;t have to buy another.

If no one answers you soon. Try giving SP motorsports a call. there on the east cost and they can help you if no one here does. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

3130 is too small

go either one of these
RC-4630 5.5"x4.5" x 6.5" = 616cfm
RU-3530 5.375 x 4.375 x 7 = 646cfm

Here is your research for you.....if you checked the MOD's section of the Contour.ORG website you would have found it by reading.

Quote:

Mirko K&N Filter Adapter
Availability: All vehicles
Approx Cost: $95 for adapter
Description: Billet aluminum piece that allows you to attach a standard K&N conical filter. Please note that Mirko does not sell the K&N filter required for the use of the adapter.
Feedback: If you don't have an SVT, here are some other parts you might want to get:
SVT Air Duct F8RZ-9B659-AA $90
SVT Rock Screen/Gasket F4ZZ-9E931-A $7
SVT air cleaner housing mounting bracket standoff F5RZ-9B929-C $9 x 2 (some non-SVT Duratecs already have these)
K&N filter RU-3130 $40"

as you can see on the bottom of the quote it gives the part number you need for K and N filters.

Now had you searched the whole site you would ahve found it...this is why you haven't been getting any responses...becasue the answer was in the open.
