My 95 smoked the fan on sunday, I took it in Monday and they replaced the fan motor, blades, wiring harness and a new fuse. Took a day and a half to get parts and install it all for free under the recall. I thought I would be getting the double fan. They now have a seperate motor+blade set so no new shroud with double fans.
If I had known I would have seen about paying extra to get the double fan set. Kinda scary that Fords makes a replacement wirng harnes that is in regional stock for this car.

isn't the single fan is larger, if so then it probablt has equal capacity to the two smaller fans.

The single fan is fine..its a two speed,on 'low' the feed runs throu a resistor mounted in the fan shroud, on high it does not....
