It would have less turns than a standard exhaust and be less restrictive. Like Demon said though, you would have to be aware of the fuel lines. And it would be louder. And a pain for passengers getting in the rear doors.

Ive thought about doing a side exhaust for awhile, but a true dual setup with both manifolds leading to the driver side (no fuel lines to worry about). Has anyone done this yet, with proper silencing?

i must admit i was shocked to find a picture of my car on here. yes the car is mine of which i have had alot more done to it ready for this years shows. with respect to the exhausts, yes there is a bloke who has had his pipes taken out of the side of his car & TBH it looks crap. upset the bloke when he asked me wot i thought of it. could not lie to him so i told him it looked crap. 3 months on & he has changed it coz everyone has taken the michael out of him. my car does sound & drive very well since i've the new exhausts fitted, it rev's more freely & has increased the power output. BTW where did you find the picture of my car?
