I'm not sure whether or not this should be posted here but I was wondering what's the first part that hits the ground on lowered SVT's and MTX tours. I have an automatic and my tranny is first to hit, which is why I don't drive with the coils all the way down anymore. Is that the same problem for those with manual transmissions in slammed tours?

Body kit hits first.
With a Mirko splitter is even worse.
Check out the ground clearance under my front splitter.

Why does it look like the front end is lower than the rear? Did you set it up that way on purpose?

The splitter.
Look at the tires. They are pretty much even in the wheel wells.
I like the back to front rake myself.

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Naw it is lower in the front. Look at the side skirts.... I think it looks tight like that too, but it isn't practical for my daily driver . I'm happy with my Roush springs

Thanks for the props guys. It wasn't raked that much, if you pay close attention you'll see the front tire is in a hole and the rear might be on a bump.. pure coincidence. It's actually pretty close to level.
You have no idea how stiff the dampers have to be to keep that splitter off the ground.. a LOT stiffer than max'ed out Konis. Otherwise it's crap as far as I'm concerned.
Mind you tucking front tire is not something most people do on SVT's. For the record I drove this car from Montreal to Spring Zing with the exact same setup, splitter and all. Detroit was scary but the suspension really saved the day. These pics were taken in MA after a full day's drive through VT as well.
..to answer the original question, as soon as you have a body kit, it's gonna touch before the transmission.
