Well a friend and I have been having this disscussion on tires and he is a firm believer in BF goodrich KDW-2's. He says they are the BEST, bar none street tire on the market. I beg to differ they are a very good tire, dont get me wrong, probabley one of the best, but for the money there is a whole lot better tire to be had YES or NO.... Pirelli, Toyo........??

I've driven Pirellis, Goodyear, Yokohama, BFG, etc., etc. on 400HP pickups, SHO's, Corvettes and Contours. In short, I've actually had driving time on a number of tires...
Out of every street tire I've ever driven on, the Bridestone Pole Position S-03's that I currently have on the 'Tour are hands-down the best. Handling, traction, durability, road noise level; all top-notch.
I haven't driven the KDW-2's, so I couldn't put up an argument against them. I just know that the S03's are top-notch hi-perf street tires.

I'd have to say KDW's or S-03's myself.

For now the KDW2 is only availible in 4 sizes, which is very limiting. Fewer sizes = fewer people to use them = less feedback. I'm sure it is a good tire, especially if it is an improvement over the KWD. But the best? I doubt it for a couple reasons. It has been out for a while and there should be some feedback and tests. If it really is the standard, BFG would make it in more sizes. Also, it is not in the highest performance catagory.

I have the KDW-2's and they are awesome. But I don't know how good they are compared to S-03's or S-04's. One thing I do know is that Falken Azenis R's will own any other Summer Max Performance tire out there! Their only downfall is reduced life.

Luke (Tirerack) stated to me Bridgestone Potenzas "hands down".
Was enough for me.

And he also told me YOU DO NOT WANT PARADA'S. They're all bling, no zing.
