I know some might say search and i know the OBX shifter for the focus will fit, but I was wondering if this brand should be ok. Any Focus shifter will fit any Contour so long as a) you don't have a rod shift tranny (like early 95's) b) the shifter is for an SVT Focus. The only one that is made for the focus and needs modification is the Steeda IIRC. As for the quality... who knows 1999 Blk/Tan CSVT #654 - SOLD 2003 Suzuki SV650s

Actually, (and I'm sure that's what he meant) "b" should read "the shifter is NOT for an SVT Focus." Assuming it uses a different shifter (and I also think it does as well). While I'm at it (sorry Stazi), "a" applies to all pre-98 trannies. Let's reivew boys and girls: You should be fine as long as you have a 98+ Contour and the shifter isn't for the SVTF. The Steeda stands out as the notable exception I know about (and can be used with additional modifications).
