Can anyone point out where the switch is? The light works only about 20% of the time. I'm guessing it sticks just like the interior light switches.

If my title was Joe-millionaire, I'll bet there would have been at least 50 views by now.

I think (keywork here is: think) the switch is actually mounted on the upper part of the truck where the speakers mount. It turns on by the trunk arms pushing and releasing pressure on it.

Can't member exactly...but I think that is correct.

Maybe I don't WANT to think. That's why I did a search for several trunk+light+switch combos and nothing matched.

Thanks for the reply. Now I'll "think" about working on it.

It's in the trunk latch mechanism. If you have a plastic cover, you'll need to remove it.

If you have the haynes manuals, the switch looks identical to the switches shown in the doors for sensing the door is locked, IIRC.

Check with the Ford Parts counterman, he should be able to show you where the switch is when you buy the new one.

I replaced mine and it was less than $10, IIRC. And that's how I learned where it was too, from the parts book.
