Yesterday morning they worked fine. This AM I only have bright lights, when I switch to dim
no headlights are on? I repaced all four bulbs this past September so I would not think that is it.

Ideas?

Thank you

Diagnostic procedure:

Use a testlight and check for light-on at 9006 lowbeam plug. If testlight lights, bulb is bad. If no light, check fuses in fuse box next to battery. Do you have power to headlight fuses? Through fuses? If no power comes up to fuses, check relays (in same fuse compartment). Does headlight relay engage when headlight switch is turned on? If not, check primary trigger power to relay. Does power exist? If so, relay is faulty. If not, then there is no power coming from headlight switch. Go to switch and check for power in, and power out with switch on. Headlight switch on Contours may ground switch the relay (I can't remember for sure).

Hell I would try new bulbs, and then if that fails then try everything Josch stated. If the bulbs don't fix it take them back, you are out no money and easiest thing to check, if you don't have a test light.

Since you've put in new bulbs and each headlight bulb has its own fuse, lo-beam headlight relay most likely culprit.

Not sure if '95 identical, but on a '97 r9 (white) is the lo-beam relay (located in engine compartment fuse box) and for a quick "no tools" check should be substituted with r10 (white) the hi-beam headlight relay to see if r9 is indeed the problem. If not, then Josch has outlined a logical troubleshooting process to follow using a voltage tester or multimeter.

Josch: Headlight switch is in feed to lo-beam relay coil, other end of coil grounded. Hi-beams ok confirms headlight switch is ok since hi-beam taps feed from low-beam relay power feed, then via dimmer switch to hi-beam relay.

IIRC, the low beams are controlled by fuses 14 and 15. I believe they are in the fuse box under the hood.

You may also want to check those.
