Like I said several times now in the GB post, the fronts only will set you back $140 shipped. The rotors are pretty damn good. No warpage on mine or any other CEGer's yet. We have a lot of cumulative miles on them.
I attribute the lack of warping to the pads a lot. The Bendix's must not overheat the rotors like some other pads. But they stop great, without fade and insane amounts of dust.

The rotors are OEM replacements and have Ford Part #'s on them.

I almost crapped my pants today when I went to the distibutor and saw a Ford service manager there. Heck it seems like even they buy them rather than from Ford!

Move to the southwest...cars go 20 years here with no rust. At 100K you can re-use exhaust manifold and pipe bolts if you can imagine that!

So I guess getting my stock rotors turned for the first time at 56K is out of the question?

IMO rotors should almost never be turned.

You give up a significant amount of material. Afterall it's just a big heatsink. The more the better!

I feel your pain Stazi...I tried to put on the stuff I got from you myself. Car had ~ 65K on it, as far as I know stock rotors, metal on metal on the inside passenger. the rotor was seriously no more than a couple milimeters thick on the inside. And I could not for the life of me get those rotors to even consider moving. i ended up taking it to a shop I trust, where pieces of the rotor broke off from the hammering they had to do.
On the plus side, the stuff Stazi is selling in the GB is nice stuff. Seeing as it's winter I haven't had much chance to safely try the brakes out hard, but from what I can tell they feel real good. I'd recomend them any day.

It all depend on where and how it was drivin I guess. I just helped my friend do front and rear brakes on a 97 escort w/ 107,000 miles on the car and brakes believe it or not and the brake rotors and everything else for that matter came off smooth as butter. Also I did another 98 Zetec contour front brakes with no problems and it had 60,000 on odo...

LMAO..

That sounded like fun 'Stazi. It's a good idea to give the rotors a tug when you rotate tires.. I go heavy on the anti-seize any time I get my hands in there as well..

I see new cars with rust in the fenderwells on dealership lots sometimes.

I have 87,000 km (53,000 miles) on my original SVT rotors, which have never been turned or removed from the car, and they really don't look that bad. Rotors have never warped, no pedal pulsation, great breaking feel and response. Pads have been done a couple of times, and rust is starting to grow in the vanes, but I think the rotors should come off fairly easily. I'll probably end up doing them in the summer just in case, but they seem like they still have life.

Mine looked fine from the front. They were rusted to hell on the back and bonded to the hub.
