Earlier I advertised my car for trade in this forum. I did not see how it could be harmful to post a Tour for trade in a forum local to me. My topic was locked, however, and I assume that I went against the rules of CEG. To those individuals who were offended, hurt, had their lives ruined, or were otherwise affected by my post in negative fashion, I sincerely apologize; it won't happen again.

I do however ask my fellow Contour fans for help in my matter. How should I proceed about my trade situation so that I won't go against the rules of CEG, receive nasty comments, and offend anyone? I'm just trying to get my hands on a mtx tour in exchange for my atx, and that's all. I'm not a crook, and am not trying to scam anyone; I told the truth about my Tour's minor accident because I am an honest individual. I fixed the car - it is now in excellent condition and just passed inspection in December. Does it make me a crook for wanting to trade my car???

Anyone who can help me, please respond with your ideas, or perhaps just comments. And as always, thank you in advance.

You didn't offend me buddy, post in the classifieds, or read the classifieds...i realize this is a LONGGGGGGGG shot though ... but i guess it's the only thing you can do...wish there was a forum where u could talk about this... i PERSONALLY dont have problems with people posting like you did... but that's just me

Well, the obvious advice is to post it in the Classifieds as that is what they are there for. There's even a link at the top of the page for you.

Or, you could just privately sell your current vehicle and use the proceeds to buy one equipped with an MTX.

And to answer your PM to me: I'm neither immature nor illiterate. But I have to tell you that I think it's crazy to think that somebody is going to take you up on your offer as previously written.

First of all, Im sorry for the PM, I just got upset over your post about my car; I pulled my ad from the Classifieds section, as I do not want to get accused for failing to put in in the proper category and possibly causing widespread strokes and heart attacks amongst those who view my ad. After all, I want to trade, not sell or buy; hence, untill there is a "for trade" classifieds section of some sort, I won't repost my ad to keep everyone content. Aditionally, my previous thread will possibly be removed so others cannot stumble on my heathen post.

#1 No one is upset with you posting a trade/sale/swap/ ETC: in the forums, it just gets locked or deleted depending on who the mod is, Here in the branches we tend to just lock it and not delete it, as we lock it we will let you know that your supposed to post anything 4 sale/trade/swap ETC: in the classifieds especially if your a newbie and are not aware of the rules. If you are a veteran and are aware of the rules then WE'LL BAN YOU!!!!! J/K

So for now on if your interested in selling or trading just post in the classifieds and everything will be fine.

Kobalt - We're all pretty easy-going people here in the NE forums (well , most of us ) . There's no need to get all emotional about stuff , we just get a bit blunt once in a while . Don't take it to heart . Noone's pi$$ed at ya , it's all good .

Stay a while & enjoy the CEG a bit longer (and just let stuff roll off your back once in a while) .
