Well, thank you for the "welcome"!!!! I have been asked by drajen to join in the "get-togther". I am unclear if it will be up his way on the 18th, or somewhere between Stump Town and the Emerald City.
Anyway, glad to know of others that enjoy their Contours'. One of the VP's I work with has a 2000 SVT he bought new, and his wife has a '99 SE Sport. I fell in love with his SVT last year, and started to keep me eye open. Our '95 2.0 5spd was a Xmas gift to my wife. She loves it, though it hasn't been driven alot, waiting for me to fix temp gauge (sender in t'stat housing is bad -- big open on the Ohm meter) and the front rotors are out of round. Also one of our local Ford dealers left the accessory belt idler pulley completely off when they replaced the timing belt for the previous owner. Belt is rubbing on the idler pulley mounting bolt boss on the alternator bracket. I want to replace this before the belt goes south. Unbelieveable, uh?
Flapped enough....let's do try to get together soon. Others in the PDX area? I saw someone in the Salem area.
