i dont have a MTX contour, the mtx is for the type of subs i have. just to clear that up. ok, when i press the gas the car will accelerate normal untill about 20 and it starts to slip, the rpms keep riseing but the speed is barly accelerating, what would cause this, i dont do nutral drops or anything that would damage the transmiton.

I guess your torque convertor is slipping? Time for a rebuild or a new tranny.

Take it back. You should not need to worry about what is happening. They should.

Not necessarily ... he says that he has an MTX, not ATX. They could rebuild the entire transmission and if they overlook a worn clutch and don't replace it, this could be the end result. IF you do have a manual, it sounds like your clutch is slipping and/or not fully engaging. I suggest like the others and take it back to the shop that did the work. Get the tech that did the work in the car and go for a spin. When you replicate the problem, look at him and say "It didn't do this before I gave the car to you!" ... go from there.

In ATX cars I have owned with minor tranny probs I have used an additive called "Trans-X" (metallic blue containers) successfully. I'm usually not big on gimmicky sounding additives but this one convinced me. It has solved problems such as slippage and delay going into gear in cold weather.

Don't do anything until you talk to the shop that rebuilt it. Most certainly don't put any additives in it until you have given them an opportunity to fix their screw up. Don't muddy the water by trying to fix it yourself first.
