I noticed a picture about a month ago of tour with the turnk open and in it you could see that there was a liner on the trunk lid and a cover in the inside of where the license plate and reverse lights are mounted. Is this a pre-98 thing only, cause i want want one for my 99. A part number would be appricated as well. Thanks, Brian

I used to have one, but I gave it to someone (don't remember who) at a meet last year. Sorry about not having a part number though.
Just a note, it came off a 98 mystique.

my 98 SVT has that. but i am missing the two doors that cover the openings for the reverse lights. no one seems to have these, i have checked dealers and junkyards. if i remeber when i get home tonight i will check for a part number, but i highly doubt you will be able to get one froma dealer.

Yep, it's a Mystique piece, although I heard somewhere (not sure if it's true or not) that the part was discontinued, so salvage yards may be the only place to get them.

I have one too, and I used to have a picture of it, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, it is off of a 98 SVT or any pre-98 Contour/Mystique. It is correct the access doors have been discontinued. Install is easy, it just snaps into place, and hides all the wires and such on the back of the trunk lid. Call Bill Jenkins, he will know what you are talking about and be able to get you the part at a discount, tell him you are part of the CEG. Pre-98 tours have 2 seperate covers w/ doors, one over each reverse light.
