bought a 96 zetex atx at local auction, one of the may problems it has is the turn signal never quits ticking. i mean even when the turn signal is not on. took steering colunm off and removed relay, of course tick stops but no turn signals, could it be a bad relay, anyone else have this prob? Please help!

If you have the wiring diagram, make sure the turn signal lever isn't shorting out to ground (I believe they brake/make ground) and completing the turn signal circuit. Never done it on a Contour, but had pleanty of time trouble shooting and swapping out bad stalks while doing cruise controls for other cars.

that auction wasn't run by al-quaeda members was it???? cuz if so maybe that aint just regular turn signal ticking


actually i was lookin at some contours for auction locally starting at $550....they're supposed to be checked out but the only thing i really remember the add saying is that the cars are smogged and tagged...its sunday so i may still go down and see whats up
