I know this does not sound like it could happen too easily, but how much work and money would it cost to swap/upgrade the transmission, do a big turbo from terry haines (also what is the link to his site? so I can see the pricing and options for that) also whatever other stuff I would need to get some insane performance out of an atx zetec.

Just out of my memory:
ATX to MTX Swap (Donor car plus ~20 hours or less labor) 200HP Turbo Kit from DemonDynamics ~$3000
So I would say you could have a 200 HP Zetec with low drivetrain loss for anywhere from $4000-6000.
If you do not have anything into your car, it would be more advisable to sell your car and buy an MTX Zetec, you could actually make a profit versus losing money via ATX to MTX swap.
And there are several more turbo kit options for the Zetec, you could shop around. PerformanceFords and Tom (check Forced Induction) come to mind.

performancefords is working on a turbo (we all know what that means, sorta like streetflight is making an intake) $3500 level ten tranny + $4000 turbo kit===about $8000.

There should be laws about calling anything under about 180hp fast...
The proper term would be: "Faster than some cars..."

Actualy, Hectors is faster than most Zetecs, AFAIK, the only ones faster than him are MTXs.
