anyone going???

im going friday or next sat after i get paid...saw the gto on the news...of course its behind all kinds of velvet roping and police tape

i'll have to hit up the anaheim show later in the yr...smaller which mean fewer patrons and more access to the cars...most of the cars roped off at the l.a. show are usually available at the anaheim show to sit in etc...

I'm thinking about going. I went two years in a row, kinda ruined it for me. Nothing new to see. But it looks as if there is a lot of new stuff this year. It's next weekend right?

I'll be there next Saturday. Thought I was going today but the folks I am going with couldn't make it so.... I mostly like the aftermarket stuff on the lower level. Stuff like wheels, entertainment systems, etc. All the cars I like I can't afford but I will check out the Mazda 6 (though I'd wait for the high performance model coming later) and maybe some other sport sedans (M5 ).

Yeah the aftermarket stuff is sweet. The last one I went to had a riced out Focus with an 800 watt stereo system, or 800 watt sub (Cant remember). But whatever it was, stick your head in the window, and it will knock out your fillings. That thing kicked out some vibrations you wouldn't believe. And in case your wondering, I wasn't touching anything in/on the car, just my head in the window.

As cool as that sounds, when the turned on the stereo in the hummer.....
You could hear that thing at the other side of the hall, and the place was packed!!! Makes me want a hummer as the next car. I'd keep the tour though, It is my first after all. It would be my toy!!

Contoy... Kinda sounds nice. THoughts?

i haven't gone since like 99 or 2000..somewhere around there...i went two yrs in a row too and burned completely out...didn't even see all the things to see due to all the people...me and my girl are gonna make an afternoon/evening of it tho this yr...she's already been warned and im taking more pics than the poparrazi...paparazi....paparrazi..

im surprisingly interested in seeing the dodge products as well as ford and chevy...if these guys can get the quality to match the effort we may have some winners on the way...theres also a personal concept mazda6 but from reading the site it seems like it'll mostly be cosmetic mods and audio....lots of debuts overall including the evo or whatever

i think i'll get a bunch of ceg.org stickers made up and leave them on the cars ...k i need sleep

Tonight on CBS they had an hour long special showcasing mostly everything that is to see in the show, except for the aftermarket stuff (unless I missed that part). Some pretty sweet stuff this year, but nothing that makes me want to go that bad.

I will be going tommorow afternoon and beat all the knuckle heads that take forever to get out of the cars. Not to mention the people that are clueless about cars.

I did go to the car show on Saturday and it was pretty good. Did anyone see the new Mustang concept?
They said that it had come in late (towards the end of the car show's run) so people who went
during the early days of the show didn't see it. Anyway, it looked better in person than the pictures
I've seen floating around. The Lancer Evo was an improvement over the standard Lancer. Bigger
tires and wheels help alot. The Mazda 6 looked good. Dual exhaust tips like the SVT. The Porsche
exhibit was nice as always but there was no GT-2 to over. Couldn't get near the expensive
stuff like the Ferraris, Lambos, Lotus, Panoz, Saleen, etc. Lots of people crowding around them. As
I mentioned in an earlier post, I like the aftermarket exhibits on the ground floor and this year's was
as good as it usually is. What's with the huge chrome wheels with an insert that spins? There was a
display that had about 30 wheels on it with spinning inserts. I guess if you've got everything
else...
