I am looking at either the Kenwwod Keg System with a RF modulator OR an Alpine 6 disc MP3 changer also run off a RF modulator. Which do you think will have better sound quality. The keg system is also at least a $100-$150 more will the sound be that much better or worse.

This will be put in a 2003 IS300, changing to an in dash is out of the question, becuase of the lack of wire harnesses and that the car is leased.

Also I am looking at a Kicker or JL freeair sub do to the lack of trunk space, any one have any experience with them.

I suspect you wouldn't be able to tell a difference in sound quality as you'll be running the source through an RF modulator into a stock system.

I'd probably go with the Alpine mp3 CD changer as it costs less, and its music supply is endless/cheap (CD-R's).

As mentioned, RF modulation is going to limit sound quality so go with the cheaper one for sure.

As for bass, skip the Basslink. Get something you will use in the next car. A Lambda LE PB10 is about $90 shipped and There are many amps to power it. In fact, I have a 280w one I could sell for whatever I paid, I think about $75.

Nice car, BTW.
