If I went to a salvage yard and bought a matching 5-spoke 15" wheel that matches the ones on my Mystique, would it fit where the spare does or not?

I think Shaggy (Chris Ars... Damn, I can't spell his name) made a custom trunk bottom. Basically it is a couple of inches higher from the cars bottom of the trunk. You could probably do something like that and clear a full sized spare.

Too heavy. Too tall.

But I thought the same thing...like for long road trips it's a security blanket thing.

A full sized tire would way to much for me to carry it around as a spare.

with some of the stereo systems people are carrying around in their trunks there's no way a full size spare is too heavy...maybe on the track with every ounce could count...but otherwise i doubt u'd really notice a big difference weightwise or in terms of making the car sluggish

I don't think weight would be a problem for me. Heh, in the Mystqiue, the only things in the whole car would be the owners manual in the passenger side glove compartment, and a tire pressure gauge in the drivers side glove compartment. In the WS6 all I have is the owner's pack, that's all! I'm not one who carries my whole home in my car
