 My 99 SE Sport Duratec MTX turned its first CEL on the other night. I'm trying to dioagnose it right now, but I can't find the EEC Test outlet to plug it into. I've found it on my 95 LX Duratec, but its not in the same place on the 99. Where is it? Also, are the codes the same for 99 and 95? Or did they change? Any other input is helpful. Thanks in advance.

According to my repair manual your test outlet should be located under the drivers side dash, near the steering column. It says it is a rectangular design with 16 outlets. It's covered by a protective cap.
I hope that's right.

Alright... the FAQ told me that I need to have an OBD-II. I have the OBD-I, so I'll take it to AutoZone so they can check it for free.
Anybody have any guesses as to what it might be? I noticed no difference in performance, no new noises, everything it routed correctly, and the car has almost 69,000 miles on it. I know it would be a stab in the dark to guess what it might be, but any possibilities would help me out.

Any guesses would be a stab in the dark. Wanna start a pool and take bets? There are several hundred possible codes. I'll take any of the O2 sensor codes, since they seem to be the most common.  Steve

AHHHHHHH!!!! I know what it is... The car did the thing, so you have to go to the place and get the thing that does the thing to the thing that made the car do the thing and it will stop and the car will be fine. No more problems.

I bet its a 420 code like mine was or a 430

Probably an o2 sensor. Get it replaced and be on your Merry Way.
