I am realizing that I need to further my stereo system in my car for listening pleasure. So I want everyone to come up with a list(if you dont mind) for my 'tour. I want good quality components but I am looking at spending no more than $2500. If you guys could help me out I would appreciate it.

You're going to spend $2500 on a pair of component speakers? That pretty much opens every set of components on the market.

Here's what I'd do with $2,500:

- Head Unit: JVC KD-SH707 $230
- Amplifier: Blaupunkt PA4100 $300
- Speakers: Custom components up front $150
- Subwoofer: Lambda Acoustics LE12 $84
- Wiring: www.knukonceptz.com $50
- Misc: Box materials, sound deadening, etc... $85

I'd put the remaining $1,600 towards a BAT handling kit ($600) a BAT rear sway bar ($150) KKM Tru-Rev Kit ($100) and Free-Flow Resonator ($100).

Still got $650 left... Trip to VEGAS!!!

LMAO! I just wanted to make sure that I am getting good quality stuff. And yes I was looking for ideas on a COMPLETE stereo system. So, I was looking at Boston Acoustic mids and highs, Audiobahn amps and subs, Pheonix Gold wiring, and an Alpine CDA-7894. Whatcha think?
Oh and XM radio!

Boston mids and highs - good, but could do better dollar for dollar with the likes of "unknowns" such as Vifa, Peerless, Scanspeak, etc...

Audiobahn amps and subs - All show, not much go. You can do much better here unless all you're after is a bling bling type of system that impresses the eyes and not the ears.

Phoenix Gold wiring - pay a third as much and get better quality stuff from www.knukonceptz.com (Bill, the owner, is also a fellow CEG'er).

Alpine CDA7894 - Very nice HU. It's tough to screw up here as long as you stay with the likes of Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood, Eclipse, Blaupunkt, etc... and get a deck with the features you want and room for expansion (anything but Sony Xplode junk)

So far I've spent about 700 on all of this:
-Clarion deck ($150)
-5x7 Eclipse speakers ($150)
-10 inch MB Quart sub ($170)
-250 watt Rockford Fosgate amp ($180)

I guess that is only 650. All I really want to do now is replace the speakers in the back of my car for another $150, and possibly get a CD changer for like $200 more. About a 1000 dollars in all. I can't imagine what else I would do with $2,500. Probably would have bought a much more powerful sub and amp and would run the speakers in the front through an amp. I also would have bought a nicer deck. Even then, it would be hard to get up to $2,500. I guess I would hit Vegas too.

Hey cthomp21! My buddy was just telling me about a brand named Focal. Do you know anything about them. Shed me some light if you can. Thanks for all the responses.
