OP con2r Newbie C Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3	The rear-door speaker covers in my '96 Contour got cracked (ironically, by a big set of speakers I was hauling in the back seat) so I bought new ones thinking, how difficult could it be to install? I took a quick look at it and it looks more involved than I thought. Does the door panel have to be removed? If so, does anybody know how tricky or difficult the job will be (is it even worth doing)?

If you brak the tabs the grille can come off and you'll have to melt the new grille on in the same fashion. I had to do this with my contour, I later added refridgerator magets to the speakers/doors so I could get to the speakers without pulling the door panel everytime. 2003 Ford Focus ZX3 "Tarmac" http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2352003
