Just installed tires/wheels on 98 Contour SVT. Are there any reasons NOT to use the stock lugs on Focus SVT 17" wheels?
215/45/17 should be very close to correct on the speedo, right? What should I torque them to?
Thanks in advance!

I did the same thing...but I think that's wrong. The FSVT lug holes look to have a flat surface where the lug nuts contact the wheel, whereas the lugs look to be tapered at the end. I think flat bottomed lugs are needed.

I used my stock lugnuts with the Focus rims. Haven't had any problems with the setup. I want to replace them with Focus SVT lugnuts but Ford wants 60.00 for a complete set.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think there will be any problems. I was going to check FORD pricing on them as well!
$60 is a little much. Maybe I can get them at a discount from Bill or someone...

Have not seen either, but what you want to do is match the lug to the wheel. That is, if stock wheel has taper seat, and the Focus wheel has a taper seat, lugs from either wheel should be OK. However , if the Focus stock lugnut is a flat seat lug (will have a flat washer as part of the lugnut), then this is the correct lugnut to use with the wheel . DO NOT use a taper seat lug on a wheel meant for a flat seat lug.

I went down to the basement last night and stuck me ole finger into a lug hole (keep your cooments to yourself ) and the holes have a tapered lip...
