Christmas Eve I was at a party at my uncles house. I went out to start the car for a few minutes to warm it up before I left. No heat. Fan dosen't work. I let it run for a few minutes, and when I came back I was going to check the fuses. As soon as I hit the fuse box release button, the fan came on. Fixed, or so I thought. Now today I go to pick up my new stereo from the Alpine shop. I get back in the car, again, no heater blower. All the fuses are fine, and still no heater, anyone else know what could be wrong?

Does the Mystique have the same recall as the Contour on the Heater Blower Switch, motor and resistor? Check those out, man, one of those may be causing the problem. Good luck.

Make sure none of the fuses are hot. If a connection is going bad it can make a mess out of the fuse panel.
If it does not run at all, it may be the fan relay.

Had the recall done last year. I'm wondering if this all has to do with my little gauge problem/ABS problem-ette. Long story short, I removed the ABS bulb from the cluster because with it in, my car ran in the Accesory key position. My ABS still works, but I think I need new gauges because of this problem. Heh, now I'm rambling..anyway, here's a short list of things I need to fix... -gauges -heater -parking brake -blown speaker -center vents/gauge bezel Where am I going to get the money for this?? lol anyway, now I can't even drive the Mystique because I'll freaze to death...

Dosen't work at all, and before I had the recall done, it only worked on the lowest setting; you had to press the fan speed knob for "hi" to kick in. Then some days it went on and off by itself. Having no heat dosen't bother me that much, just, tonite it's EXTREMELY foggy/snowy/icy..and it's hard to see the way it is, having your windows fog up dosen't exactly help things. I was going to have it fixed today, but Burns Motors didn't have the part, neither did Lunde, and they refuse to do business with Valley Ford (Ripoff Central) so I'll have to try on Monday. I brought home a battery for the 6000 tonite so I'll have a car to drive until I get the Mystique fixed, now I have heated seats, too
