When I have the car running at idle....I can hear inside and out without any fans running in the vent or heater going...I hear the sound coming from the top of the motor I believe...could this jus be clacking or clicking of the cams and valves?....would this mean I need more oil on top the motor?....cant hear the sound when reved up so does any 1 have a clue as to maybe the porblem..if one...and a solution?

Does the rattle sound more prominent over either of the cylinder banks? If so, it may be a loose spark plug. That was my case anyway. Twice I've had some spark plugs get loose and it causes a rattle, almost like the cams were being very noisy. Worth a look and it'll only take about half an hour or so to check. Hope this'll help.
