I bent my mirrorback "Ford" tag in the front, by most likely hitting a shopping cart in a parking lot. I just said, f*** the whole front tag idea, popped off the 3 fasteners, took off the tag holder knowingly that I would have 3 holes in my bumper. What works well to plug up these holes? ...and possibly the deep scratches where the sides of the tag holder rubbed against the bumper and the circles around the holes dug in by the tag holder? Tried Meguiar's Scratch-X. Thx.

Not sure what to use to fix it but I am sure glad that it is gone. It will look better now.

You might be able to buff the scratches out, if they are not deep.

I guess I had to take off my tag to see how happy the contour really looks. It's quite smiley. Almost as smiley as the new Millenia.

I got thumbtacks with large white plastic heads (come in different colors). I painted them silver with Ford's Touch-up paint, bent the pins back, filled the holes in the bumper with clear GE Silicon Cement, and inserted the thumbtacks in. Look great.

Right now, I have "circles" of electrical tape over the holes and painted the elec. tape with Wal-Mart's $2.79 little tube of Navy Blue paint. I am surprised that the paint doesn't rub off the thumbtacks, say after when you wash your car a few times.
