Installed a sho shop front brace and noticed there isn't much clearance. I found that I have to push it back so it rests on some hoses right next to the fire wall. It has shown some scuffs where it must be rubbing on the hood. Also, the little ring thing that sits over the struts where you attach it, has a good few cm gap. It has been like that ever since I had the bat euro package installed. I'm sure if it was flush with the strut tower the brace might have a little more room. Does anyone with this brace have any words of wisdom on how to fit it or better yet some pics of one installed. Thanks in advance.

Your struts were not fitted correctly. The rubber 'cap' on the tower should be tight on the sheet metal.Common fault, the main nut under the rubber cap is the wrong one when the springs were changed ,it should be a shorter nut than the one you can see,NOT a lock nut ,someone has put the UPPER nut on the spring cap which is too tall to let the rubber cap be compressed. The strut will knock due to the extra clearence you discribe under the cap..I'd get it corrected before you fit the brace...

My advice, DUMP THE SHOSHOP BRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That thing is only good for breaking your struts. It will not allow the struts to articulate like they should. I broke a very expensive Koni due to a shoshop brace. Stay away from it.

In addition to that, if you want to keep your struts in one piece, I wouldn't recommend the ShoShop STB. I'm really suprised they still sell these things. Their first design was better.

Well, based on opinions here, I'm gonna remove it and see if I notice a "difference" without it. I will keep the rear brace on though as I did notice a difference with it on...of course I just have to finish drilling those holes Looks like another waste of money from sho shop. BTW. I bought the y-pipe from them and the rear flange just broke off. I think they have some quality control problems. I don't think they are iso 900X certified.
