Well, I thought is was the weirdest thing when I started my car one night and it had a whistle at idle. It also does it when I just let off the gas. At full or part throttle it seems to go away. It was cold so I thought it was a random thing. Its been doing it every day now. I have played with the throttle (under hood) while listening for the source and is sounds like its the throttle body. Could my throttle plate have some kinda little hole or something. I have done a forum search and found a few others with a similar issue but no posts had a follow up fix. I was thinking to re-torque the throttle body bolts since I did recently install an svt upper. Any input would be helpful

the whistling sound is the sound made as the air squeezes past the throttle plate.
If you have an after market induction system like a KKM then it will be more noticable.

What song is it whistling? Could be a vacuum leak somewhere, like a vacuum hose, loose PCV valve, etc.

The whistling sound means that the car is working.

well, I wish it was due to some aftermarket induction system but its just the stock svt setup on my car. I have had the same set up for a while. The whistling is new. Its not the moose...and its not the cool kkm sound..its a annoying high pitch whistling sound. I'm checking into it now since I have the afternoon off. If I figure anything out, I'll post it so others wont have to deal with it cause its freak'n annoying!

I have it too. Actually got it after I replaced the cabin air filter. Don't know why that would be connected to engine revs though.

Maybe the "Moose" is loose. It tends to come out in cold weather.
