Is the superchip from Kurtz worth while? just wondering, b/c i want to buy one but not sure if it is worth it...

superchip is worth it, especially with atx. best to get intake and exhaust first though. if you're buying a new chip, buy from www.performancefords.com, if getting used and reprogrammed go through kurtz.

Why do you suggest doing other mods first? Does it make a big difference, or will the chip not respond well to after-chip mods i.e. complete exhaust changes, air filter changes, etc.

You do everything else first so that you can get the chip custom burned to make the most of your mods.

Its made by Levloc. It has the o/d button. I got mine in a group buy a few years ago. I paid about $60. Try doing a search. There was a post not too long ago talking about the Levloc shifter. I dont remember where, though.

chips are designed best for standard intake and exhaust mods, thus work better if you have these mods. though you'll still see gains with just a chip. if you do many, many mods, then a custom burned chip will account for all of them, though it cost mucho $$$ for the dyno time, o2 and a/f readings + custom programming fee. and here is levloc atx shifter for $80: levloc
