I have an 80mm MAF from a Ford V6 Cossie engine,
can anyone tell me whether it needs calibration. I have a remote optimiser will this help. Also is there anyway to tell what year mondeo the optimiser is for as i bought it second hand off of one of you boys and he wont tell me. My mondeo is a 2001 V6 non svt (but 2000 shape).
Thanks.....

IIRC, all Cosworth motors used in Ford production cars were blown 4 bangers. I would expect it does need calibration as your car is a V6 and it came from an I4 using (assumption)completely diffent engine management. What car, specifically, did it come from?

On that same note would a Cobra 80mm MAF fit onto our car?

ford europe made a granada scorpio cosworth with a v6 engine
i think it was a essex engine beefed up by cosworth.200 bhp standard.it was not blown either ,normally aspirated.
later the car was a scorpio ultima.
given that it was a v6 would i have to find out what size injectors it used?
also does a remote optimiser work with my 17 lb injectors?

I have an 80mm in my car and I just switched the electronics. I also have the air/fuel optimizer and to my understanding they are not made for one certian car unless you have the optimizer that mounts on the mas itself.

re-optimiser,
i was looking at sp motorsports web site and they list two different remote optimisers,88-95 and 96+.
also how do you use the optimiser as it had no instructions when it arrived.
