I would never buy used struts, but is it a bad idea to buy used springs? Speaking in general, of course, assuming there was nothing inherently wrong with the springs.

IMO, I would probably buy used aftermarket springs, if they were not too old, but I would never buy stock springs used. Several stock Contour springs have broken and had to be replaced.

yeah. to clarify, I was referring to aftermarket springs, particularly H&R's or Eibachs. Thanks
