OP jeffcmoss Newbie J Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 4	if i pull the engine and the tranny thru the top,how do i get the tranny past the master cylinder and the batt holder. can i just remove the engine only or do i have to pull them both together.i have a 1995 zetec 4cly with a auto tranny. i am looking for the quick and easy way out.

tcjones95lx New CEG\'er T Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 18	You can remove the transaxle (and subframe) by dropping them down with the car on stands. Haynes manual suggests lowering the engine, tranaxle and subframe as a unit using a special support. But then you would need to raise the body high enough to clear the engine. I don't know if the engine alone could be raised thru the hood after the transaxle was removed. Has anyone tried this?
