The How to's: Aesthetics gives info on side marker for 98+ tours. Does this mod work for 95 GL?

Iy should work but I believe you don't have the same hole in the fender like the 98+ have. I might be wrong.

Yeah, that's right; no holes on early 'Tour fenders. It'll still work, though. You just need to cut out a hole, which means you can put the marker anywhere on the fender, but it'll be harder to get the two sides to match up perfectly without a pre-cut hole, as on the later cars. When you pull off the emblems, I'd use the or leftover adhesive as a templete to match one side with the other so you don't have one light up high and one too low. Good luck, and as always; Post Pics When You're Done!!

I was thinking of doing this with my Mystique. I notice how most cars' sidemarkers are lined up with the ding guards, but that's where my V6 emblems are...maybe I'll put sidemarkers where the V6 emblems are, then buy a 98+ 24V badge and put on the trunk...wait a minute...my LS badhe is there OK, I'll debadge the whole damn thing..

I know this isn't too close to the subject...well kinda

but do you just pull the ding guards off or what and does it leave marks to where it was at?

Yes, you'll need a tape measure, metal punch and hammer, electric drill, and a metal boring hole bit that will be big enough to allow the threads on the back side to fit through the hole you will make.
Start by marking the fender with a marker after measuring each side to see where the center of the emblem was.
Take the metal punch and hammer and ,moderately, single tap the center of the marks you made on each side. This will help start the hole.
Now using the drill with bit, slowly and carefully drill the hole on each side. This bit is designed to start the hole with a smaller sized bit, then once the second (larger) part of the bit touches the metal, it cuts the hole larger to fit the side marker in. In other words, it drills two holes that end up being one. Purpose; to minimize mistakes.

Hope this helps.

Sometimes, and it can be a pain to get the adhesive off. If your car is older than 2 or 3 years old,.....you may have problems due to the paint under the trim being darker than that of the rest of the car. Fading sucks. So does more dings after removing them.
